In addition to the seed exchange, The Family Farm League has quarterly potluck get togethers to compare notes on how the season is going and to eat some really superb food. Members are encouraged to prepare a dish made from the food they grew, but it's obviously not mandatory.
These shote were from our July potluck at Rancho Gordo. In addition to all the food, there was a salt tasting and a comparison between the famous Spanish padron peppers (which were grown at COPIA's gardens by Colby and Geoff) and the similar Italian peppers called Friarelli, courtesy of the reknowned Mariquita Farms (near Watsonville). Being at Rancho Gordo, there were of course beans. It was a great party.
