On Sunday, February 19th, we had our first event at the Rancho Gordo showroom/warehouse on Industrial Way in Napa. Growers and members of the community gathered to enjoy the food prepared by students from Vintage High School who participate in the Seed-to-Table program.

Students also helped with our first Seed Exchange. Growers and hobby farmers brought their seeds and went home with new varieties. The turnout was spectacular!

Aside from Rancho Gordo, particpants included Long Meadow Ranch, Grandpa Jack's Farm, Slow Food Napa Valley and Common Greens. This was our first time out and next year we hope to include even more groups and growers from the Napa Valley.
Next year our plan is to get more community groups involved, including other schools. We'd also like to exppand the Seed Exchange aspect of the party so start saving your seeds now!

Both KVON-AM Radio and the Napa Register covered the event. This is the Register's story. Tana Butler's Small Farms blog covered the event as well.

Thanks to everyone who donated their time and energy, food and even for just attending.
